Digital Signage Case Study - Grocery Store Chain

Digital Signage Case Study - Grocery Store Chain - Retail Digital Signage Software
Business:
Small to Medium Grocery

Current Story:

Thirty-three store operation selling groceries, pharmacy and various other products.  Stores are positioned as a full-service center for the community.  Family-owned for over seventy-five years and very involved in the communities they serve.
The company currently prints and posts promotional signage in all stores on a weekly schedule.  There are twenty-four signs per store.  The overall costs for this program are around $12,672.00.  This figure takes into account Print shop production and Courier service to deliver to stores. This however still doesn’t take into account printing of proofs and art production.

Other logistical problems:

Sometimes after a printing is completed and posted in the stores, a shipment of the promoted product is delayed or the product is sold out before the next batch of promotional posters are put up.  Furthermore, too many floor stands, and the customers feel like they are in an obstacle course.

A Better Way:

Replacing printed posters with strategically placed 32” LCD Digital Signage system in each store.  The deployment is staggered to take place over one year period.  This way the company can easily absorb the initial system price into their cash flow as it is offset by reductions in printed poster costs.

Additional benefits:
  • After the one-time investment for a Digital Signage system, the company will retire all the print costs and turn them into profits.

  • When promotional products are not available anymore, the Digital Signage can be changed immediately.

  • When items are overstocked, they can be promoted instantly and avoid potential spoilage or out-dating.

  • Vendors can be featured and charged for their appearance thus creating additional revenue.

  • Community interest content helps reinforce their marketing efforts.

  • Corporate messaging about their “Green Initiatives” can be shown thus educating the public about issues the grocery stores cares about.

Resolution:
A well thought out digital signage program not only drive sales and increases communication to all facets of a business but it can positively impact the bottom line dramatically!  Let us show you how…
